Inclement Weather Policy

*For the purposes of this policy, "Inclement Weather" is defined as any weather that makes for unsafe travel (ie: icy roads or impassable roads due to heavy snows or flooding, etc.)

Our cancellation policy is based on Posey County Schools or the schools of Mount Vernon School District (MSD).

Mass Cancellation Policy

** If schools are closed due to inclement weather, Masses will be canceled.

**  If schools are on a 2-hour delay due to inclement weather, morning Masses will be canceled. Evening Masses will continue as scheduled.

Adoration Chapel Policy

**  If schools are closed due to inclement weather, the Adoration Chapel will also be closed from 7:00 a.m. on that day until 7:00 a.m. on the following day, unless otherwise notified by a Committee
member.

**  If schools are on a 2-hour ‘delay’, the chapel will NOT be closed. The Adoration schedule will continue as usual.

**  If Inclement Weather should occur during a time in which Posey County/MSD Schools are not in session (ie: Christmas Break) OR on a weekend, a decision will be made by the Adoration  
Committee whether to close the chapel. In that event, a member of the committee will contact 
you. The chapel will then be closed temporarily until further notice at which time a member of
the committee will again contact those scheduled in order to resume the usual Adoration
schedule.

**  If at any time you feel unable to attend DUE TO THE WEATHER, please call Dan or Dolores
Masterson at (812) 985-2411.  If there is no answer, contact another Adoration Committee   
member.
