Men's Club
President: Scott Schoettlin
All men of the Parish are considered members of St. Philip Men's Club. The mission of St. Philip Men’s Club is to unite all the men of the Parish and to bring them to new heights of spiritual, personal, and relational growth. They help those in need by assisting in church, school and community projects and contribute to the special interest and development of the young people in the community by examples of moral and material support.
Meetings are held on the fourth Monday of each month beginning at 6:30pm that include a delicious meal, a brief business meeting, and fellowship.
This organization contributes greatly to the financial health of the Parish and School by their annual fundraisers. Each year 1000 gallons of burgoo are prepared, cooked and sold with all the proceeds going to the Parish. An annual Easter Egg Hunt for parish youngsters is also sponsored by the Men's Club. They also contribute greatly to the helping with repairs and maintenance of the Parish campus throughout the year. The Men's Club is also a major part of the Summer Social set-up and tear-down each year as well as booth manning.
The Men's Club also elects a Financial Advisory Committee that serves a five year staggered term. This committee advises the club on what projects to undertake or include in the Men's Club budget. The major input of possible choices is usually provided by the Building and Grounds Committee or the Center Board
