*For the purposes of this policy, "Inclement Weather" is defined as any weather that makes for unsafe travel including
icy or impassable roads due to heavy snows or flooding, etc.
** If Posey County Schools or the schools of Mount Vernon School District (MSD) are
closed due to inclement weather, scheduled Mass will also be cancelled for that day.
** If Posey County Schools or the schools of Mount Vernon School District (MSD) are on a
‘delay’, morning scheduled Mass will be cancelled, but evening scheduled Mass will NOT be cancelled.
** If Inclement Weather should occur during a time in which Posey County/MSD Schools are not in
session, Mass will NOT be cancelled, however, it is important to be sure you are able to travel safely to and from the church.
