You open the door to St. Philip’s adoration chapel and walk in. You have just stepped into the Real Presence of Jesus Christ. While God is present at all times in all places, Catholics believe that Jesus is especially present, body and blood, soul and divinity, in the Eucharist.  The mere fact that you take time out to spend with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament pleases Him very much, and is in itself a prayer of great faith.

The St. Philip Adoration Chapel has Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration. That means that Jesus Christ, present in the Holy Eucharist, is exposed for all - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week - in a special holder called a monstrance; someone is always with Him.

The chapel is located at the rear of the Church on the upper level.  Available hours (that can be taken permanently or on a temporary basis) are posted inside the chapel. You may contact Dolores or Dan Masterson for more information at (812) 985-2411.

"Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." - - Matthew 11:28

Please consider committing for one hour per week at your convenience or just stop by for a few moments.
Parishioners and non-parishioners alike are welcome to sign up for an hour of Adoration of their choosing. You might even consider grouping with friends and alternating an hour.

This time that Jesus wants us to spend with Him can be spent in any way we want…pray, meditate, or just listen. Jesus will speak to us in the depths of our hearts. You may bring your own prayer books, use the books in the chapel, read the Bible, pray the Rosary, reflect on the Way of the Cross, or just sit, relax and enjoy the sweet peace that comes from simply being in the Presence of God. During this time spent with our Lord, He gives us the courage to cope with our natural fears, the ability to undertake great things for the sake of His name, and the power to undergo great trials. If you feel you can't pray well, don't let this discourage you. Just speak to Him as you would to anyone of whom you are very fond.

Do you find yourself with a specific intention on your heart? Stop in to light a candle for any intentions you may hold or write your petitions in our book located outside the chapel.

Our Lord is hidden there in the Blessed Sacrament, waiting for us to come and visit Him, and make our requests to Him!  - - St. John Vianney

We invite you to please come to this quiet, Holy ground. It is such a beautiful way to feel God’s presence in your life.
